Information:

At its plenary meeting on 5 June 2009, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 6 noted that, according to an agreement signed by the ISO National Body for Uruguay ("UNIT") and by the ITU Uruguay Member State ("URSEC"), "AGESIC" will be the Registration Authority for the country OID for Uruguay. An equivalent decision was taken by ITU-T SG 17 at its plenary meeting in September 2009.

By resolution 075/010, "AGESIC" created the National Unit of Allocation of OID (in Spanish, Unidad Nacional de Asignación de OID ("UNAOID")), General Coordinator A/S, A/M Mauro D. Rios.
