At its plenary meeting on 4 March 2016, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 6 noted that, according to an agreement co-signed by the Nicaraguan Institute for Telecommunications and Post (in Spanish, Instituto Nicaragüense de TELecomunicaciones y CORreos (TELCOR)) as the administration representing Nicaragua in the ITU, the Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce (in Spanish, MInisterio de Fomento, Industria y Comercio (MIFIC)) and the Ministry of Finance (in Spanish, Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público (MHCP)), the General Directorate of Technology (in Spanish, Dirección General de TECnología (DGTEC)) of MHCP is the registration authority for this OID. This decision will be further noted by ITU-T SG17 at its plenary meeting on 23 March 2016.
