At its plenary meeting on 3 Feb 2020, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 6 noted that, according to an agreement co-signed by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication (MPT) (Administration representing Lao in the ITU) and by the Department Of Standardization and Metrology (DOSM) of the Ministry Of Science and Technology (MOST) (organization representing Lao in ISO), the LAo National Internet Center (LANIC) is the registration authority for this OID. This decision was further noted by ITU-T SG17 at its plenary meeting on 26 Mar 2020.
