Information:
At its plenary meeting on 20 Feb 2009, ITU-T SG 17 noted that, according to an agreement co-signed by the ISO National Body for I.R. of Iran ("ISIRI") and by the ITU I.R. of Iran Member State, i.e., the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) will be the registration authority for the country OID for Iran. This decision was further noted by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 6 at its plenary meeting in June 2009.
